Annual Golf Tournament Raises Funds for Summer Camp Scholarships
March 10, 2008 - Tampa golfers are invited to tee off on Friday, April 11 at the 16th Annual Friends of Tampa Recreation, Inc. Golf Tournament. Friends of Tampa Recreation, is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that raises funds to support the children's programs offered through the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department. Proceeds from the tournament will be used to provide scholarships for at-risk children to attend the city's 10-week summer camp.

The Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union is sponsoring the event, which will take place at the Rocky Point Golf Course. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cost is $450 per foursome and includes greens fees, cart, buffet lunch, goody bag and a chance to win a Mini Cooper donated by Ferman Automobiles.
