CTTV Producer/Director Recognized for Good Citizenship

Tampa, FL October 12, 2009 - City of Tampa Television (CTTV) Producer/Director Frank Crum has received the Tom Schroeppel Award from Media Professionals of Florida, Inc. (MPFI) for his contributions to the Tampa community. The award is presented annually by the organization to a media professional with active community involvement. MPFI is a not-for-profit corporation that provides its members opportunities for professional development, networking, community recognition and vendor support. In addition to the award, a $500 donation will be made in Crum’s name to a service agency of his choice.

Crum was recognized for his seven years as a hands-on producer/director at CTTV, where he has actively mentored members of the Mayor’s Youth Corps in television production, as well as for the time that he has dedicated to service outside of the workplace. His list of volunteer activities include serving as the president of the City of Tampa Black History Committee, as a youth mentor for the NAACP’s Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO), as an active member of the Gamma Zeta Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and as church usher board member at the Beulah Baptist Institution.
