This project is a collaborative effort between the University of South Florida Conference and Going Green Expo Steering Committee, the USF Florida Center for Community Design and Research, the Grant Park Neighborhood Association, the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department, the Mayor's Beautification Program, ECO2ASSET SOLUTIONS, and the USF's Iota Theta Fraternity.
The Mayor's Beautification Program works with volunteers to enhance the quality of life for all Tampa Bay residents and visitors. Founded in 1989, the Mayor's Beautification Program is a non-governmental, nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide environmental education and volunteer opportunities that develop individual responsibility and environmental stewardship. For the past 20 years, the Mayor's Beautification Program has had a significant impact on Tampa Bay through large-scale plantings at Raymond James Stadium, the Courtney Campbell Causeway and Blake H.S., to smaller volunteer efforts to remove litter and debris.
