Details:
Tampa Police Officers arrested two men in charge of running an illegal gambling operation. Three plainclothes officers entered Sweepers Sweepstakes, located at 7243 N. Nebraska Avenue posing as patrons after concerned residents called police about the internet café business. Once inside, Patrick Venegas and William Wargo explained the gaming systems to the officers and eventually paid them their winnings in cash. The two attendants cooperated with police and were arrested without incident. The investigation is still on-going.
Police seized $400 in cash and 31 computers with various Vegas style games used to run the gambling enterprise.
