Tampa, FL November 5, 2009 -
Victim: Dana Franklin, B/F, 09/28/87, 234 Stratford Ave., Tampa. Injuries: Broken pelvis and left leg
Victim: Jalaya McClinton, B/F, 01/07/08, 234 Stratford Ave., Tampa. Injuries: Fractured orbital
Driver: Unknown, driving a dark colored 1996-2000 Dodge Caravan. The minivan is possibly missing the driver's side mirror and a broken driver's side headlight. The front grill may have some type of red emblem or badge.
The victim was carrying her baby across Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard on 10/29 when the SUV traveling west hit her. She was walking to her child's daycare, Today's Child, 2150 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. She was not crossing the street in a crosswalk. Witnesses originally stated the vehicle was a black SUV, but further investigation indicates the vehicle was a minivan. Traffic was heavy at the time of the accident. Detectives are asking any motorists who may have witnessed the accident to contact Tampa Police 813.631.6130.
