BUSINESS: Marathon Station
VICTIM: Joush Blakely, B/M, 5/1/90, 1701 East Cayuga Street, Tampa
SUSPECT: Marcel Morris, B/M, 2/8/90, 5303 Luci Court, Apt. 221, Tampa
WARRANT CHARGES: Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Felon in Possession of a Firearm
DETAILS: A dispute over a woman between the new boyfriend and the ex-boyfriend (suspect) led to last night’s shooting. The two men began arguing at the gas station when the new boyfriend began to walk away and the suspect pulled out a gun and fired. The bullet hit another man who arrived at the gas station with the boyfriend. The victim was transported to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition, but he is expected to live. Detectives worked through the night to identify the suspect and they have issued a warrant for the suspect’s arrest.
