November 11, 2009 - Fine art and a fine opportunity to support the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department's art program can all be yours on Saturday, November 21 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday, November 22 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Made by Hand Art Show and Sale taking place at the Kate Jackson Community Center, located at 821 S. Rome Avenue.
Art will include pieces designed by students in jewelry, silversmithing, basketry, drawing, painting and ceramics classes. There will also artist demonstrating on the potter's wheel, jewelry making, print making, and creating works in stained glass. There will also be make-n-take art for the kids. Proceeds for the sale benefits the Friends of Tampa Recreation Inc., a not for profit, 501(c) 3 that supports the Tampa Parks and Recreation Department's programs and activities.
