Tampa Police Asking Witnesses to Come Forward to Help with Two Homicide Investigations
 
Tampa, FL November 12, 2009 -
Investigation # 1

DATE/TIME: 11/11/2009, 5:37P.M.

LOCATION: 201 N. 26TH Street, Tampa

VICTIM: Gregory Allen Jr., B/M, DOB: 2/08/91, 8719 N. Mandarin Place “D”, Tampa

SUSPECT#1: H/M, 17-21 years old, last seen wearing red shirt and black jeans and walking a pit bull puppy
SUSPECT#2: H/M, last seen wearing a black shirt

Detectives have determined the conflict started in the Desoto Park over the theft of a bicycle. There was a large crowd in the park and detectives are asking anyone who witnessed this conflict to call the Tampa Police Department at (813) 231-6130.
The victim fled north a couple of blocks to 201 N. 26th Street where he was shot in the chest. Officers found him on the ground and conscious. He was able to give limited suspect descriptions before he was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he died from his injuries.


Investigation # 2


INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 11/11/2009 @ 8:33 PM

LOCATION: 4309 W. Arch St. Tampa, Fl.

BUSINESS: N/A

VICTIM: BM, Marc R Strode, DOB: 5/11/89, 703 131St Ave. E. Tampa, Fl. 33612

SUSPECT: 3 BM's, 20's, 2 passenger suspects armed with semi-auto pistols.

VEHICLE: Dk colored vehicle, loud muffler, possibly Grand Marquis or Crown Victoria

DETAILS:

Victim was sitting at an outdoor table at with friends playing cards in front of a residence at 4309 W. Arch Street. The suspect vehicle drove up and 2 BM suspects exited armed with handguns. One suspect fired a shot in the air and everyone ran trying to escape. The victim was shot at several times, getting struck once in the back. He collapsed at 4302 W. Arch Street. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. The victim died in surgery from the gunshot wound approximately an hour later.

Tampa Police Detectives are asking witnesses to come forward to provide any information they have about the shootings. The number to call is 813-231-6130.
