Mayor Pam Iorio and Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor will join Tampa's Neighborhood Watch Coordinators at the department's Chief's Appreciation Night. This year, 27 citizens and businesses will be recognized for their exemplary commitment to helping police make Tampa a safer city to live and work in. The event is held yearly to give Neighborhood Watch leaders the opportunity to interact with police command staff and for the department to acknowledge them for their role in helping officers reduce crime over 50% since Mayor Pam Iorio took office. The appreciation night will be held at the Lions Eye Institute for Transplant and Research, located at 1410 N. 21st Street, from 6:30 PM-8:00 PM.
