Tampa, FL January 26, 2010 - Mayor Pam Iorio’s guest on the February episode of “Mayor’s Book Talk” will be Rodney L. Hurst, Sr., author and former NAACP Youth Council President. The two will discuss Hurst’s book, It was never about a hot dog and a Coke, the firsthand account of the 1960’s sit-in demonstrations that took place in Jacksonville, Florida and escalated into the violent racial clash referred to as Ax Handle Saturday.
