Tampa, FL March 3, 2010 - A new Web page lets Tampa Water Department customers share their water efficiency success stories. Customers can submit information on the 'How Are You Saving Water?' page about actions or activities they have taken at their homes or businesses to reduce their water use. Submissions may be selected to appear online.
The Web page adds a personal dimension to the growing 'tool box' of resources already located at www.TampaGov.net/SaveWater to help customers to use water efficiently. By highlighting success stories, the Tampa Water Department is hoping to show their customers what has been done, not just what can be done.
Tampa residents and customers can keep up-to-date with automatic notifications on restrictions changes, upcoming workshops, conservation events and other Water Department information by subscribing to the Tampa Water Department's Customer Newsletter, The Pipeline, at www.TampaGov.net/Water or the Water Department Real Simple Syndication (RSS) feed available at www.TampaGov.net/appl_rss_feeds/
Customers in Tampa’s reclaimed water service area can reduce potable water consumption by signing up and using reclaimed water for irrigation. View Tampa’s current Reclaimed Water Service Area Map at www.TampaGov.net/ReclaimedWater or call (813) 282-7827 for more information.
The Tampa Water Department serves a 211-square mile area with a service population of approximately 657,000 people. The Tampa Water Department’s mission is to provide superior drinking water and reclaimed water services to its customers.
