March 5, 2010 - GTCERT will be conducting a live training drill at the Tampa Fire Rescue Training Academy on Saturday, March 20, 2010, starting at 9:00 a.m. and wrapping up around noon. Bring your radios again, (both FRS and ham), your CERT helmet, and vest, but keep the rest of your pack at home. We will be participating in a search and rescue drill which will emphasize radio communications and refresh other CERT skills. ALL CERT members in the county are welcome, (not only GT-CERT) so come out, put your skills to work, and enjoy the teamwork and the training. When you arrive, don't go to the classroom, follow the signs to the incident command post and check-in and get your assignment (no classroom training this day, just hands-on).
