April 23, 2010 - The City of Tampa in conjunction with Hillsborough County and MOSI are proud to announce the return of the Tampa Bay Hurricane Expo on Saturday, May, 22, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), 4801 E Fowler Avenue.
During the first three days after a natural or man-made disaster your local government will be working hard to re-establish essential services such as power, water and sewer and will be clearing debris from the streets. Local emergency planners want residents to understand that The First 72 Are Up To You!
Admission to the Tampa Bay Hurricane Expo is FREE!
Seminars from local and national experts will focus the theme - The First 72 Are Up To You! - and on the importance of preparing your family and home long before the first hurricane warning is issued. There will also be a special 72-Hour Readiness exhibit to demonstrate what how much water and food is really needed for a family of four during The First 72.
In addition, Hurricane Expo guests can enjoy MOSI exhibit galleries and one standard IMAX® Dome Theatre* film for only $8 per person (children under 2 admitted FREE)! *Special exhibitions and special engagement films not included.
Vendors and sponsors for the Expo can register by filling out the appropriate form at www.TampaBayHurricaneExpo.com.
