Basic CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training Offered
May 16, 2011 - There will be a basic CERT training class starting on Saturday, June 4th through Saturday, June 25th. The class will be held on four consecutive Saturdays (06/04/11, 06/11/11, 06/18/11 and 06/25/11) from approximately 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tampa Fire Rescue training center (116 S 34th Street, Tampa FL, 33605).

The purpose of the course is to provide citizens with the basic skills needed during a major disaster. This training will allow graduates to respond to the immediate needs of their community in the aftermath of a major disaster - the time when emergency services may not be immediately available.

To register for this class, please fill out our registration form, including your name, as you would like it to appear on your CERT certificate and a daytime contact phone number by Tuesday, May 31, 2011.

All training materials will be provided free of charge. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early the first day in order to fill out the necessary paperwork. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
