Tampa, FL September 28, 2011 - Tampa businesses have a new planning tool available to assist them in realizing cost saving on their utility bills. A new Sensible Water Management workbook released for commercial, industrial and institutional users has guidance on conducting facility water audits and contains water efficiency measures for specific processes and industries.
Nearly 40 percent of the water produced by the City of Tampa Water Department is used by non-residential customers. By making the workbook widely available to all of its customers the City hopes to not only assist businesses in identifying potential cost savings but also help to reduce the impact by those customers on the community’s water resources.
The Sensible Water Management workbook is available now for download in PDF on the Water Department’s Website at www.TampaGov.net/Water.
The Tampa Water Department serves a 211-square mile area with a service population of approximately 560,000 people. The Tampa Water Department’s mission is to provide superior drinking water and reclaimed water services to its customers.
