Tampa, FL June 27, 2012 -
The manatee calf washed ashore along flooded Bayshore Boulevard this morning with its mother. The mother is deceased. Officers have called Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to help with the rescue. The calf will be evaluated and possibly transported to the zoo.
