July 31, 2012 - On July 31, 2012, the City of Tampa's Wastewater Department will begin repairing a gravity mainline that has caused a depression in North Habana Avenue. To facilitate this repair, North Habana Avenue will be closed between West Columbus Drive and West Beach Street. Detours will be set up as follows:
Traveling southbound on North Habana Avenue from Columbus Drive:
Turn left onto W. St. Joseph Street and travel east to N. Tampania Avenue
Turn right onto N. Tampania Avenue and travel south to W. St. John Street
Turn right from W. St. John Street and travel west back to North Habana Avenue
Traveling northbound on North Habana Avenue:
Turn right onto W. St. John Street travel east to N. Tampania Avenue
Turn left onto N. Tampania Avenue and travel north to W. St. Joseph Street
Turn left on W. St. Joseph Street and travel west back to N. Habana Avenue
Signage and arrow boards will be in place to guide motorists through this area while this repair is underway. To avoid delays or traffic congestion the city advises that motorists use alternate routes of travel until this work is completed. This repair should be completed by Friday, August 3, 2012.
