NEWS BRIEFINGS
Mayor Bob Buckhorn and Police Chief Jane Castor will hold their final briefing at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 31, in the Mayor’s Conference Room on the 1st Floor of the Tampa Municipal Office Building, located at 306 E. Jackson Street.
Police Chief Jane Castor, Fire Rescue Chief Tom Forward, and Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Colonel Ed Duncan will be holding a briefing tonight at 9:00 p.m. at Tampa Police Headquarters located at 411 North Franklin Street.
ARRESTS
As of 3:00 p.m. today, there have been no RNC related arrests.
ROAD REOPENINGS ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 31, 2012
The local lanes of the Selmon Expressway between Willow Avenue (Exit 4) and 50th Street (Exit 11) will reopen at approximately 5:00 a.m.
The entire segment of Florida Avenue will be open by 5:00 a.m.
All other roads will reopen by noon.
The traffic plan for the roads leading into Harbour Island will remain the same until noon. All check points into Harbour Island will also be removed by noon.

DEACTIVATION OF THE JOINT INFORMATION CENTER
The City of Tampa Joint Information Center will deactivate on August 31, at 9:00 a.m.
MEDICAL RESERVE CORPS
A medical aid station, providing basic care for heat related ailments, scrapes, bruises and other minor issues is available to anyone in medical distress. This station is operational until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, and is located at the corner of Brush Street and Jackson Street.
