Tampa, FL September 26, 2012 - The City of Tampa Mayor's Hispanic Heritage Committee will hold its 24th annual celebration on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. The event will be held at the Tampa Theatre, located at 711 N. Franklin Street.
Lissette Campos, Director of Community Affairs for WFTS - ABC Action News, will be the keynote speaker for this year's celebration, which showcases the legacy and impact of the Latin culture and Hispanic heritage in our community. Mayor Bob Buckhorn will present a proclamation in recognition of Tampa's Hispanic roots and the diverse population who share this heritage. Members of Tampa City Council will also present a commendation. Tedd Webb from 970 WFLA radio will serve as the emcee again this year.
This event is free and open to the public. The first 200 guests will be able to enjoy a light lunch, "con mucho sabor."
The event will be cablecast live on City of Tampa Television (CTTV) (Verizon Channel 15 and Bright House Channel 615).
