Greater Tampa CERT
GT CERT held a Communications and Search and Rescue Exercise on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Tampa Fire Recue Training Center. The exercise simulated a search and Rescue operation for a missing 7 year old boy "Tommy" (pictured). Five teams split up and systematically searched the TFR training grounds finding the "missing child" in less than 1 hour. There were 22 participants in attendance at the exercise.

On March 31, 2010 current Channel District Residential Parking Permits will expire at 11:59 p.m. In an effort to provide renewal opportunities, the City of Tampa Parking Division will be distributing new permits to qualified residents and business owners. The Parking Division is suspending the iPark Personal Parking Meter program due to the manufacturer’s inability to provide additional devices for distribution to new customers.
