The City of Tampa Recommended Annual Budget, and a companion book, the City of Tampa Recommended Budget Supplement, serve as the primary budget documents of the City of Tampa. In combination, these two books serve as the appropriations documents and provide detailed information about city government, its budget, and the services it provides. Two other books also being presented to city council at this time are the Recommended Capital Improvement Budget (CIP) which provides a detailed six year plan of capital improvements and a Citizen’s Budget Report, that includes budget highlights. In addition, a newspaper report to citizens is distributed to inform the public about city government.  CIP specific information showing locations by street map and by satellite view is available on the city’s web site.
