Tampa Reports to the People

A MESSAGE FROM THE CITY COUNCIL CHAIRMAN

Each day, Tampa City Council works to meet the needs of Tampa's citizens. The Council strives to ensure necessary fundamentals are in place to provide for a prosperous future while preserving our City's past. In meeting these obligations, the Council has the responsibility of approving the City of Tampa's annual budget. During this approval process, citizens are afforded the opportunity to express their opinions regarding the allocation of funds at various public hearings. Public participation as to how tax dollars are spent as well as input by community groups, neighborhood civic associations and community leaders is vital to the process.

On behalf of Tampa City Council, I hope you have found this report informative and I encourage your future participation in local government.
