Dollars Well Spent

Property taxes budgeted for FY06 total $139 million with no ad valorem millage adjustments. This will be the seventeenth consecutive year where Tampa has not raised millage rates to fund government services. A homeowner's tax bill may differ from the previous year due to changes in assessed value or ad valorem millage adjustments by other local taxing authorities. The "other" category includes: HARTline, Children's Board, Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), and the library system.
