Commercial Permits - Change of Use: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing-Gas Inspections

Electrical


Rough-In:  To be made after the roof, framing, fire-blocking and bracing is in place and prior to the installation of insulation and wall or ceiling membranes.

Generator Wiring: To be made once the rough-in electrical inspection has passed. Inspector will verify that setbacks and manufacturer’s installation specification are met.

Final: To be made after the building is complete, all required utilities and electrical fixtures are in place and properly connected or protected, and the structure is ready for occupancy.
 

Mechanical


Rough-In: To be made after the roof, framing, fire-blocking and bracing is in place and all ducting and other concealed components are complete, and prior to the installation of insulation and wall or ceiling membranes.

Duct / Exhaust Systems: To be made after Rough-In inspection have passed. Inspector will verify compliance according with approved plans and current codes.

Final: To be made after the building is complete, the mechanical system is in place and properly connected, and the structure is ready for occupancy.
 

Plumbing / Gas


Rough-In and Tub Set: To be made after the roof, framing, fire-blocking and bracing is in place and all gas, water, soil, waste and vent piping is complete and tested, and prior to the installation of insulation and wall or ceiling membranes.

Plumbing Final: To be made after the building is complete, all required utilities and plumbing fixtures are in place and properly connected, and the structure is ready for occupancy.

Gas Rough-In: Shall be performed after the roof, framing, fire-blocking and bracing is in place and all gas piping is complete, and prior to the installation of wall or ceiling membranes.

Gas Final: To be made on all new gas work authorized by the permit and such portions of existing systems as may be affected by new work or any changes, to insure compliance with all the requirements of this code and to assure that the installation and construction of the gas system is in accordance with reviewed plans.
