COMMERCIAL INTERIOR REMODEL / FINISH BUILDING INSPECTIONS
 

Commercial Permits - Interior Remodel: Building InspectionsConstruction or work for which a permit is required shall be subject to inspection and such construction or work shall remain accessible and exposed for inspection purposes until approved. It is the responsibility of the permit applicant to have the work accessible and exposed for inspection purposes.

Framing

To be made after the roof, all framing, fire blocking and bracing is in place, all concealing wiring, all pipes, chimneys, ducts and vents are complete and shall at a minimum include: Window/door framing installation, Vertical cells/columns, Lintel/tie beams, Framing/trusses/bracing/connectors, Draft stopping/fire-blocking, Curtain wall framing, Energy insulation, Accessibility.

Insulation

To be made after the framing inspection is approved and the insulation is in place.

Glass and Glazing Review

Inspector will verify sloped glass and skylights, safety glazing.

Means of Egress

Inspector will verify general means of egress, egress width, illumination and signage, stairways and handrails and exit access.

Fire Resistance Rated/Penetration

To be made after the installation of fire resistant drywall, joint/penetration protection, and fireproofing materials, and prior to installation of finishes.

Building Final

To be made after the building is completed and ready for occupancy.
