Slab Underground

To be made after trenches or ditches are excavated, conduit or cable installed, and before any backfill is put in place.

Rough-In

To be made after the roof, framing, fire-blocking and bracing is in place and prior to the installation of wall membranes.

Electrical Test Power

The following are some of the items inspectors will be checking before final inspection can be final:

1. Terminal connections are properly secured. NEC Article 110.14
2. Overcurrent protection is sized based on conductor size. NEC Article 310.16
3. Air Conditioning conductors and overcurrent protection is properly sized based on the unit nameplate information. NEC Article 440.6
4. Open conductors are properly protected against accidental contact. NEC Article 110.27
5. Grounding electrode system is complete and connections are secure. NEC Articles 250.50 and 250.64
6. Structure is secured from entry by unauthorized persons. COT Chapter 5, 5-104.6
7. Incoming AIC rating for equipment has been verified by Tampa Electric Company (TECO). NEC Article 110.9

Mechanical

Underground Inspection

To be made after trenches or ditches are excavated, underground duct and fuel piping installed, and before any backfill is put in place.

Rough-In

To be made after the roof, framing, fire-blocking and bracing is in place and all ducting and other concealed components are complete, and prior to the installation of insulation and wall or ceiling membranes.

Second Rough-In

To be performed prior to the installation of walls or ceiling membranes and after the roof, framing, fire-blocking and bracing is in place and all drainage, waste, vent, and water distribution piping is complete.

Plumbing

Underground Inspection

To be made after trenches or ditches are excavated, piping is installed and tested, and before any backfill is put in place.

Rough-In

To be made after the roof, framing, fire-blocking and bracing is in place and all gas, water, soil, waste and vent piping is complete and tested, and prior to the installation of insulation and wall or ceiling membranes.

Final: To be made after the building is complete, the mechanical system is in place and properly connected, and the structure is ready for occupancy.
