First inspection to be made after excavation and installation of reinforcing steel, bonding and main drain and prior to placing of concrete shell.

Shell

To be made prior to pour of same. Inspector will verify pool layout, setbacks, overhead wire clearance to water and steel reinforcement.

Deck

Verify form boards and preparation, reinforcement and if applicable, inspection will be done on retaining wall, forms and reinforcement.

Final

Inspector will check for steps, ladder, and swim out. Safety barriers are to be in place, gates, latches, door alarms and latching devices will also be checked. Inspector will also verify that pool-spa is operational and filled with water. Inspection of pool safety cover will be done if applicable.
