The first inspection is to be made after the excavation and installation of reinforcing steel, bonding and main drain and prior to placing of concrete shell.

Shell

To be made prior to pour of same. Inspector will verify the pool layout, setbacks, overhead wire clearance to water and steel reinforcement.

Deck

Verify form boards and preparation, reinforcement and if applicable, the inspection will be done on the retaining wall, forms and reinforcement.

Final

The Inspector will check for steps, ladder, and swim out. Safety barriers are to be in place, gates, latches, door alarms and latching devices will also be checked. The Inspector will also verify the pool-spa is operational and filled with water. Inspection of pool safety cover will be done if applicable.
