Electronic Payment: ePayables
The City has utilized a credit card
system for small purchases under
$2,000 to expedite and simplify the
acquisition of goods and services. An
extension of the credit card program
(ePayables) allows the City to issue
electronic payments to its vendors
through the City credit cards. This
process will reduce the number
of paper checks produced by the
accounting system and eliminate the
associated expenses of producing
and handling these checks, while
providing faster payments to vendors.
The City will also receive additional
revenues from bank rebates
associated with the program.
