Youth Sports Programs

Parks offers a wide array of free sports programs and instructional sports clinics for youth focused on a range of sports including basketball, soccer, kickball, flag football, baseball, street hockey, track & field and girls slow pitch softball.

 

Gymnastics and Dance

The Tampa Gymnastics and Dance Program offers individual and team dance instruction and competition for residents of all ages and abilities.

All Comers Track Meets

It's all about fun, fellowship and personal development at the All Comers Track Meet. Beginners are encouraged to attend and use these meets as a way to get started in the great sport of running.

Location: Chamberlain High School, 9401 North Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612
Events: 60 meters, 100 meters, 200 meters, mile, 400 meters, 800 meters, 4 X 100 meter relay, 4 X 400 meter relay
Fees: $.50/child (under 18 years) per event, $1/adult per event

Adult Sports Programs

Get your best team together and come compete in our adult sports leagues:

Softball - Slow-pitch softball is offered year-round for Men, Women, Church, Co-ed and Sunday Night leagues. The fee $230/team plus a ASA membership fee of $10.

Softball Organizational Meeting Dates and Times
All teams must attend the organizational meeting to play in the upcoming season. All meetings will begin at 7 p.m. and will held at the Wayne. C. Papy Athletic Center, located at 6925 N. Florida Avenue.

August 6  -- Men's & Church Leagues
August 9 -- Sunday Night League
August 10  -- Women's & Co-ed Leagues

Men's Baseball - Organizational meeting is 7 p.m. on August 5 at the Wayne. C. Papy Athletic Center, located at 6925 N. Florida Avenue.

Flag Football Volleyball

Youth Sports Programs

Basketball -  Registration: Before November 14 at community center. League play begins November 30 and Saturday League December 5
Ages: Saturday League: 9, 10 & 11, 12 & 13, and 14, 15 & 16.
5th grade and under Basketball during the week, 9, 10 & 11.

Street Hockey - Registration: Before November 13 at community center. League play begins December 5
Ages 9 & 10, 11 & 12, 13 & 14 and 15-17

Kickball - Registration: Before February 11, 2010 at community center. League play begins March 2, 2010.
Ages 12 and under

Soccer - Registration: Before January 11, 2010 at community center. League play begins March 2, 2010
Ages: 6, 7 & 8, 9 & 10, 11 & 12, 13 & 14, and 15 & 16. 

Girls Slow Pitch Softball - Registration: Before February 9, 2010 at community center. League play begins March 2, 2010.
Ages: 17 and under.

Summer Basketball League - Registration begins May 2, 2010 at community center. League play begins June 13, 2010 at Forest Hills Community Center, 724 W. 109th Avenue.

Tennis Programs

The Tampa Parks and Recreation Department offers a comprehensive tennis program for adults and youths.
