"Max" specializes in narcotic detection.

"Cyrok" specializes in bomb detection.

"Bo" specializes in narcotic detection.

Single purpose dogs are specialized in either narcotics or explosives.  Our professional working dogs are not trained in the detection of both drugs and bombs due to the potentially fatal results that can occur if a dog's bomb alert indication is mistaken for a drug alert indication.  The dog's keen sense of smell leads them to the drugs or explosives.  Once they find the source of the odor, the handler rewards them with praise, play, and a favorite toy.  So even though the K9 partners are doing valuable work, to them it is a fun game of hide and seek.
