Janelle McGregor is a ten-year employee of the Tampa Police Department who is always ready to roll up her sleeves and take on new challenges!
Janelle has a knack for establishing quality relationships between citizens and police that promote a partnership-approach to public safety. In
2013, Janelle was promoted to Assistant Public Information Officer. In this role, she blends her knowledge of the department's administrative functions with her experience working in community relations to bring added value to the Media Relations Office.
Janelle was named TPD's Employee of the Year in 2012 for her work in coordinating several community events with outside organizations, all while handling an increased workload for the upcoming Republican National Convention. These events made a huge impact on countless citizens, most involving at-risk children.
Janelle serves as one of the key social media contributors who develops messaging and content to enhance TPD's virtual experience with the public.
A native of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Janelle relocated to Tampa with her family in 1994. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Public Administration from the University of South Florida. Go Bulls!
