How to File a Delayed Crime Report

Warning: Do not use this facility to report issues of an emergency nature or for conditions requiring an immediate response.  If your issue is an emergency, please use the telephone and dial 911.

Many police reports involving crimes or lost property can be originated via phone with the Tampa Police Department's Delayed Crimes Investigation Unit in each patrol district.  Some of the types of reports handled by District DCIU include:

  • Grand and Petit Thefts
  • Criminal Mischief (Vandalism)
  • Missing Persons and Runaway Juveniles
  • Identity Theft
  • Harassing or Threatening Phone Calls
  • Stolen Tags and Vehicles
  • Lost or Found Property
  • Forgeries
  • Lost or Stolen Cell Phones
