TPD Awards Program

The Tampa Police Department Awards and Commendation program is an ongoing program recognizing outstanding TPD officers and employees.  Each month an officer and an employee is recognized for outstanding performance or meritorious service to the Tampa Police Department and the City of Tampa.  From this group, an officer and employee that has consistently performed in an exemplary manner, is true to the ethics of the police service and is highly deserving of the faith placed in him by the public is selected for the TPD Officer of the Year or Employee of the Year Award.
