The enduring partnership between the Tampa Police Department and Gulf Florida Doughnuts – Krispy Kreme began in 2002 with an agreement to provide doughnuts to the 8th Annual Tampa Police Memorial Run and more than 1200 participants. Under the ambassadorship of Ms. Jeane Bly, Gulf Florida Doughnuts Marketing Manager, Gulf Florida - Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has continued to provide their world famous doughnuts for the Police Memorial Run, TPD crime prevention functions, Neighborhood Watch meetings, and the annual TPD Memorial Ceremony.

On April 23, 2006, Gulf Florida - Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and the Tampa Police Department joined efforts to put on the first ever “Cops on Doughnut Shops” in Florida. More than 1,000 doughnuts were given to area businesses in an effort to raise money for Special Olympics Florida. Gulf Florida - Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has also enthusiastically supported the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, providing doughnuts and refreshments for three golf tournaments and several of the TPD hosted Torch Run planning meetings. In 2007, Gulf Florida - Krispy Kreme Doughnuts provided doughnuts to children attending the Police Athletic League (PAL) of Tampa’s Summer Program and provided additional support for two additional PAL fundraisers.

Ms. Jeane Bly has become a true friend to many of the department’s personnel. The thousands of doughnuts and gallons of coffee donated during charitable events hosted by the Tampa Police Department over the years has helped raise thousands of dollars for many TPD supported charities.
