Captain Gonzalez is a 19-year veteran who has served 16-years in Patrol as an Officer, Corporal, Sergeant and Lieutenant.  He worked his way through the ranks serving as a burglary detective and on a special firearms task force run by Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.  For the last four years, he has helped reduce crime in North Tampa working as a Lieutenant in District Two.  He also served as the District Two Mass Incident Response Team Commander.  Captain Gonzalez will serve now serve the south and west areas of Tampa in District One.
