SafetyNet by LoJack

The Tampa Police Department is pleased to partner with SafetyNet by LoJack to better respond to calls for service of missing adults and children with special needs who tend to wander form home.

Project Lifesaver TransmitterUpon enrollment in the LoJack SafetyNet system, your loved one is outfitted with a Personal Locator Unit (PLU) on his or her wrist or ankle.  Should your loved one go missing, officers from the Tampa Police Department and deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office have been trained and are certified on search and rescue procedures by Project Lifesaver International.  They will use digital LoJack Search and Rescue Receivers to track the radio signal being emitted from the PLU on your loved one's wrist or ankle.  By working directly with local law enforcement and using the world's most successful recovery technology, the LoJack SafetyNet solution is the best way to bring your loved ones home. Safely.

For additional information, City of Tampa and Hillsborough County residents are encouraged to call 211.  Highly trained staff working at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay is standing by to provide information and referrals to over 3,000 community services including Project Lifesaver.  You may also download the Crisis Center Resource Guide (314kb PDF)Tampa Bay 211 - Crisis Center of Tampa
