modifications to improve deterrence to crime. This is a free service offered by the Tampa
Police Department's Crime Prevention Bureau.
Workplace Violence
A program designed for area business personnel
on how to recognize, prevent, and diffuse dangerous situations in the workplace.
One of the Corporate America's top security concerns is workplace violence.
Two programs are offered to businesses to meet the company's needs.
The "Management Level Program," is offered to management and senior
supervisors. Topics include pre-employment screening, recognizing
patterns of inappropriate behavior, crisis management, legal and liability
issues, and physical safety steps for their employees. The "Employee
Level Program," is offered to employees of the business and covers
recognizing potentially dangerous behavior, how to address it, and how to
properly report it. Safety procedures and safeguards are also
discussed.
Shoplifting Prevention
The program teaches identification,
apprehension, and more importantly the prevention of shoplifting. The laws pertaining to
shoplifting and the consequences of being caught are discussed in this presentation.
