Events at the Ice Palace create large surges in traffic. The surge is especially large
when an event is over and traffic is leaving the arena. To help traffic exit the area in
an efficient manner, we close down certain streets. The number of streets that are closed
down corresponds to the event capacity. Street closures are implemented approximately a
half-hour before an event is over.
