Events at the St. Pete Times Forum create large surges in traffic. The surge is especially large when an event is over and traffic is leaving the arena. To help traffic exit the area in an efficient manner, we close down certain streets. The number of streets that are closed down corresponds to the event capacity. Street closures are implemented approximately a half-hour before an event is over.  The following three maps illustrate the street closures corresponding to St. Pete Times Forum attendance:
