RFP Disposition of General Marketable Properties

The City of Tampa ("City") gives notice pursuant to Part III, Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, of the request for submission of proposals for the purchase of two General Marketable Properties as herein referenced.

The Properties are located at 4409 North 44th Street and 4220 East Osborne Avenue, Tampa, Florida. The bidder shall pay cash with a requirement to meet certain terms and conditions that are identified in the proposed Land Sales Agreement (the "Agreement"), the bidder will be required to accept the Property in it's "AS IS" condition, proposals must be consistent with applicable laws, ordinances and regulations governing the Property's location and address.

A City of Tampa Land Sales Agreement and other information applicable to the bid may be obtained by accessing the City of Tampa website at www.tampagov.net, Planning and Development Department, Real Estate Division or by calling (813) 274-7232.

All bids shall be submitted within 30 days after the date of the public notice or no later than Friday, January 30, 2013, 4:00 p.m. to the City of Tampa, Purchasing Department, 306 East Jackson Street - 2E, Tampa, FL. 33602. (Note: Section 163.380 of the Florida Statutes requires bids to be submitted within 30 days after the date of the public notice). Mark the outside of the sealed envelope "RFP Disposition of General Marketable Properties".

Winning bidder must be able to close within 45 days of closing of the proposal period.

The City of Tampa Real Estate Division does not pay any Real Estate brokerage commissions. The payment of any said fees will be the sole responsibility of the Bidder.

After the submittal deadline, all bids are subject to the "Sunshine Law" pursuant to applicable state law.

In selecting a bid, the City is not bound to make the award on the basis of the highest monetary offer. It is the City's goal to strengthen the mission and stability of the residential community. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, either in whole or in part, with or without cause, waive any informality of any bid, cancel this request for bids, and to make the award in the best interest of the City, subject to City Council approval.
