Elementary School Poetry (Grades 3 - 5)

1st PLACE - To be featured on the T-SHIRT:

BE A COOL SCHOOL!

Please join our team

We are smart and cool

Because we recycle

At our school!

We collect soda cans

And plastics, too

We stack all papers, old and new.

The City of Tampa comes once a week

And lets us know,

We are really terrific!

We make recycling our school’s tradition

We can’t stop now,

It’s become our passion.

What we have is self-discipline

We throw our trash in a

Recycling bin!

2nd PLACE

Swoosh! Hear The Rustle of Trees

Swoosh! Hear the rustle of trees.

Smell the fresh air.

Feel the earth beneath your feet.

Take it all in.

Now think what the Earth would be like with pollution:

A smoky sky, dirty water, and a dirty, polluted Earth.

But wait; there is something you can do.

Recycle paper, cans and plastic.

So yes, you can stop pollution! There’s still time!

Do your part! Recycle! Save the Earth!

Poet: Brittnei Allen (Grade 5)

“Swoosh! Hear The Rustle of Trees”

School: Kimbell Elementary

Teacher: Brittany Bauer

Principal: Sheryl Marceaux

3rd PLACE

RECYCLE, RECYCLE

Recycle, recycle

Please help the planet

You won’t regret it!!

Recycle, recycle

Save us from pollution.

Recycle cans, glass, paper and aluminum

That is the only solution!!!

Recycle, recycle

Earth is a great place to live in

So grab a recycling bin

And get goin’!!!!

Recycle, recycle

Help the land and ocean

            GRIN!
