Required Reclaimed Water Signage

All storage ponds, fountains and other decorative water features using reclaimed water are required by Florida Statute 62-610.468, Access Control and Advisory Signs, to have signs containing specific language and symbols. The signage is not optional and must be posted at all times if you are using reclaimed water.

Signs are required to be posted at each main entryway to the fountain (or storage/irrigation pond area) to ensure the public is aware reclaimed water is in use. Signs must also conform to the requirements outlined in Chapter 20.5 of Tampa City Code.

While the design and materials used for the signs is up to the property owner, the following information is required to be included on all signs inside Tampa city limits:

  • The "Investing in Neighborhoods" Logo

Investing in Neighborhoods Logo

  • The words "City of Tampa Reclaimed Water"

  • The International symbols for "No Drinking" and "No Swimming", with English and Spanish text
