Pre-Rinse Spray Valves
A pre-rinse spray valve is a handheld device that uses a spray of water to remove food from dishes prior to cleaning in a commercial kitchen. The dishwashing operation in a typical restaurant can consume as much as two-thirds of all the water used in the kitchen. Reducing pre-rinse water saves both water and the energy used to heat the water prior to use.
The Tampa Water Department will provide commercial kitchen operations with pre-rinse spray valves at no cost. Pre-rinse valves offered have a 1.28 gallon per minute flow rate, are certified by the Food Services Technology Center, and include the following features:
