Westshore Alliance Traffic Signal Boxes

The City of Tampa Public Art Program and the Westshore Alliance have formed a unique partnership and developed a Public Art project that transforms the ordinary into extraordinary in the Westshore business district.  

The Traffic Signal Box Painting Program enhances the pedestrian and driving experience by incorporating artwork by local artists directly into the streetscape.

Traffic signal boxes are located at every intersection; there are 17 traffic signal boxes.

Westshore Alliance member companies adopted the signal boxes in the Westshore district.  Each company developed a unique design, expressive of the area.

 

Participating companies include:
AAA Auto Club South, advantec, Continental Jewelry, Faller Davis & Associates, First Housing, Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, Hillsborough Community College, PBS&J, Radsick Advertising Group, Renaissance Hotel -- International Plaza, Reynolds, Smith & Hills, Sterling Payment Technologies, University of Phoenix and Westshore Plaza.
