The Saint James
House of Prayer was constructed in 1922 from rocks dredged
from the nearby Hillsborough River and donated by Harry P.
Kennedy the Church has all the features associated with the
Gothic Revival, including a steeply pitched roof, a tower
and crenellation as well as stained glass windows.
When the church was originally constructed it was situated
in the fashionable Tampa Heights neighborhood.
