Recommendations Regarding Community Cable-Related Needs and Interests

The cable company should be upgraded/rebuilt with optical fiber to enable the cable company to offer more channels and advanced data and video services to its Tampa customers, and maintain or improve reception quality.
The City of Tampa should include and enforce provisions in future franchise agreements that are designed to maintain and improve the existing level of picture and sound quality for cable subscriber.
The institutional network should be expanded to include all public buildings, educational facilities, and public, educational and government access facilities.
Free drops and basic service should continue to be provided to all public and private schools requesting such service, to all public government buildings, and to the public, educational and government access facilities.
The Tampa cable system should be interconnected with all adjacent cable systems in the area to permit wider distribution of PEG access programming.
