Viewers were then given the opportunity to name any
programs they watch on CTTV which were not mentioned, above.
Just 8.7% were able to name such a program.
In many communities viewers often confuse access and
commercial programming (often naming programming found on
commercial cable channels) when given this opportunity to
name other programs not previously mentioned that are shown
on the access channel(s) being tested.
However, as in the 2004 viewership survey, CTTV viewers here
demonstrate a significant level of knowledge and awareness
of local access programming. They mention no clearly
identifiable commercial or non-access programming. Rather,
these viewers mention local access oriented programming like
board and commission meetings, local election shows and
similar access oriented programming, e.g., "architectural
review commission," variance review board," "debates of the
local election" and "school board meetings" (which though
not on CTTV is on another local access channel). The

under Tab 3.
