Viewership Survey - 2007Computer & Internet Awareness & UseJust over two-thirds (68.6%) of all respondents said that they have access to a computer that they use to access the Internet.
Several questions were then asked of these respondents.
First, 5.1% of these respondents who access the Internet
have seen the CTTV website, a measurable increase over the
1% from the 2004 viewership survey. 28.6% of those who have
seen the CTTV website first became aware of it from a link
on the City of Tampa website. Just under one-fourth (23.8%)
found it surfing and 14.3% found it while watching a program
on CTTV. 21.4% of all respondents with a computer either would be interested (10.8%) or might be interested (10.6%) in watching archived CTTV programs. 6.4% either would be interested (3.2%) or might be interested (3.2%) in downloading and viewing CTTV programs on an Ipod or similar portable device. The graph below illustrates.
On-Demand Use & Interest As shown below, a little under one-fourth (21.6%) of all subscribers say they watch programs using the On-Demand service provided by their cable company.
All subscribers for whom On-Demand service is available were then asked if they would be interested in watching CTTV programming using this On-Demand service. As shown below, almost 30% (28.1%) either would (16.5%) or might (11.6%) be interested in such a service.
