Viewership Survey - 2007

Computer & Internet Awareness & Use

Just over two-thirds (68.6%) of all respondents said that they have access to a computer that they use to access the Internet.

Do you have a computer?

Several questions were then asked of these respondents. First, 5.1% of these respondents who access the Internet have seen the CTTV website, a measurable increase over the 1% from the 2004 viewership survey. 28.6% of those who have seen the CTTV website first became aware of it from a link on the City of Tampa website. Just under one-fourth (23.8%) found it surfing and 14.3% found it while watching a program on CTTV.

14.3% of those who have seen the CTTV website (3 respondents) have watched CTTV as a streaming video. 23.8% of them (5 respondents) have watched archived CTTV programming on their computer.

21.4% of all respondents with a computer either would be interested (10.8%) or might be interested (10.6%) in watching archived CTTV programs. 6.4% either would be interested (3.2%) or might be interested (3.2%) in downloading and viewing CTTV programs on an Ipod or similar portable device. The graph below illustrates.
