Viewership Survey - 2007General Awareness, Knowledge & Trust of CTTV, Channel 15As shown in the graph below, over six out of 10 of all survey respondents (62.2%) indicated that they are “aware that the City of Tampa has a cable television channel called City of Tampa Television or CTTV." A statistically significant increase of 7.1% over awareness levels measured in 2004, and in our experience a very high level of Government Access channel awareness.
Those respondents who are aware of CTTV were then asked if they could recall which channel number is used by it. As shown in the graph below, 43.8% of these respondents said they could recall the channel number.
About three fourths (73.5%) of these respondents did, in
fact, correctly identify channel 15. The balance identified
other channels, however, no other channel was mentioned by
more than 3.2% of these respondents. Respondents who have watched CTTV at least monthly were then asked if they could recall which of four offered slogans was the correct slogan for CTTV, Channel 15. While most respondents (70.7%) were unable to recall any slogan, of those who chose a slogan (29.3% of CTTV viewers who watch at least monthly) twice as many chose the correct slogan, "Your City, Your Station" as the other options offered. The graph on the following page illustrates.
Finally, when these viewers were asked if they trusted the information on CTTV about nine out of 10 (89.7%) said they trust the information either a "great deal" (41.4%) or "somewhat" (48.3%). Only one respondent (.9%) said they trust the information "not at all." The graph below illustrates.
